Description
Attic 4th cent. B.C..Clay. H. 15 cmA thin-walled amphoriskos with tall neck, slightly flaring mouth, and a small round foot. The circumference of the ovoid body is decorated with a reticulate pattern in black glaze, with dots of added white in the interstices. Slimmer bands of palmettes and of toungues, both in added white, decorate the upper part of the vase's body and shoulder respectively. Break at lower part of body repaired, with areas of minor retouching.Formerly French priv. coll., acquired in the 1970s.
