Signed or inscribed "JANE PETERSON" l.r., inscribed and dated "Venice 1923" in
pencil and identified on a label from Galerie Jordan, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Montreal, Canada, on the reverse.
Oil and graphite on panel, 10 1/2 x 13 5/8 in. (26.7 x 34.6 cm), framed.
Condition: Subtle surface grime.
Provenance: Private collection, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Skinner Inc., November 16, 1990, Sale 1354, Lot 126.

Condition: Small cluster of lifting with paint losses lower center, roughly 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches overall, the largest loss measuring 1/4 x 1/8 inch, where the grey pigment has cracked and lifted to reveal underpainting. There is another paint loss, l.r. corner, measuring about 1/4 x 1/8 inch.

The reverse of the panel is signed or inscribed "Venice 1923/...E PETERSON" in pencil in center.
