Description
VICTORIAN CASED GLASS KEROSENE BANQUET / PARLOR LAMP, lemon yellow cased colorless, matching pattern ovoid shade, lamp with an Acanthus Leaf pattern featuring a rosette upper stem, brass connector, openwork stylized floral and scrolling foot embossed "62/F" to the underside, brass collar. Fitted with a period No. 2 "OXFORD" slip burner, colorless slip chimney. Maker unverified. Late 19th/early 20th century. 26" H to top of shade, 17 1/8" H to top of collar, 7" SQ base. Shade: 7" H, 4" D fitter.
Undamaged with wear to the foot. Shade having expected roughness to the fitter, a couple of minute nicks to the top rim, all as made.
Provenance: From the collection of Peter Mack, Bristol, CT.
