Rectangular, Birmingham, various sizes, comprising: an example with etched wave and diamond pattern, floral repousse edges, reeded sides, pierced scrolling floral and foliate decorated grille, no visible date mark, monogrammed; two similar small examples with floral repousse edges, one with etched geometric and floral decoration, the other with etched scrolling foliate and floral decoration, both with etched floral decorated grilles, 1847, the first also retains a sponge, both monogrammed.

Dimensions: From 1" x 3/4" x 1/4" to 1 5/8" x 1 1/16" x 1/4". The total approximate weight is 1.3 troy ounces.

The example that retains the sponge has a slightly bent grille and therefore does not close properly. Otherwise very good condition with expected wear.
