Description
John Bunyan, "The Pilgrim's Progress (From This World to That Which is to Come. Delivered Under the Similitude of a Dream)", printed by Russell and Allen, Manchester, 1815; William Makepeace Thackeray, "Vanity Fair: A Novel Without a Hero", illustrated by the author, Bradbury and Evans, London, 1848; both are half bound hardcovers with gilt tooling, marbled boards and endpapers.

Dimensions: Bunyan is 8 1/4" x 5 1/8", 1 3/8" thick. Thackeray is 8 3/4" x 5 7/8", 1 3/4" thick.

Provenance: From a local collection.
Condition
Both are in poor/fair condition; not collated. Bunyan: rubbed, bumped, detached front board, cracked back hinge; toning, minor transference/bleedthrough, some creases, tears and minor damp stains to the front endpapers, book plate. Thackeray: rubbed, bumped, cracked spine, cracked hinges, cocked; toning, scattered foxing, minor bleedthrough, pages 55-58 and one plate are detached but present, minor dampstains to the front endpapers, book plate.
