Description
EDWARD BEYER (1820-1865) "ALBUM OF VIRGINIA" PARTIAL FOLIO, comprising 18 prints and title page, with written inscription "Presented to Mrs. M.J. Harman by Fr. Schefer January 3, 1861". Back page has a Confederate National Flag drawn in pencil. Original gilt-stamped covers. Published 1858. each 17" x 25" OA.
As-found condition, moderate to heavy areas of discoloration and toning, one page has a pencil grid drawn on it, other pages have outlined drawings on the back.
Provenance: From a long established Staunton, VA family.
Catalogue Note: Descended in the Jedediah "Jed" Hotchkiss family and was most likely owned by him.
