Lot 519005 Details

Description
A sterling silver hot water urn hallmarked for London, 1827 and the maker Richard Sibley. It features shell and acanthus leaf decorated scrolled feet, gadrooning, a fluted body, reeded and acanthus decorated open handles and a molded lid with bud finial that lifts to expose steam holes. The body also bears the stamp "Makepiece London" which likely refers to the retailer.

Dimensions: 14" from handle to handle, 14 1/2" from the spout to the back of the body and the height is 17". The approximate weight is 160 troy ounces.

Provenance: From a local collection.
Condition
The ring below the finial has an old soldered repair, otherwise excellent condition with expected wear.
