Description
For sale in this lot is an antique Seth Thomas Staunton Tambour model mantle clock. The clock originates from 1941, and has a gorgeous mahogany cabinet. The clock has a two-gear wind up mechanism, and strikes on the hour, and half hour. The face is crafted of stamped tin, and reads "SETH THOMAS - MADE IN U.S.A.". The Seth Thomas Clock Company began producing clocks in 1813 and since became one of the biggest names in hand winding clocks. Overall, the clock shows good aesthetic, and mechanical condition. The clock is accompanied by its winding key. The clock measures 20" wide, 9 1/4" tall, and 5 3/4" deep.
