Details: Scarce Cuckoo Clock BLACK FOREST CLOCK VINTAGE CUCKOO CLOCK MFG CO c1965 Swinging Figure On Lamppost Collectible Carved German Clock

Maker: Cuckoo Clock Mfg. Co./Regula Movement

History of Maker: Sometime shortly before the outbreak of World War II, a pair of Jewish immigrants in New York City founded the Cuckoo Clock Manufacturing Company. Realizing that it was significantly more cost effective to import Black Forest clocks directly from Germany, the company did little to no manufacturing itself, instead marketing clocks from companies including Kammerer and Herr. Later the company changed its name to Linden Clock Manufacturing Company. After undergoing several ownership and name changes in the 1980s, the company ultimately came to be owned by Alliance Time which appears to have discontinued the Linden line. Regula is one of only 2 companies that continue to produce cuckoo clock movements in the Black Forest region of Germany. The company can trace its legacy back to the mid-19th century.

Country of Origin: Germany

Year of Manufacture: c.1965

Model: Wall Clock

Serial Number: 25/G.M.1731483/1741584

Model History & Features: This scarce clock saw a very limited production run. After the cuckoo calls the hour, music plays while the man holding a bottle swings from the lamppost.

The clock is in good condition though some adjustments must be made to the man with the bottle to enable him to swing properly. Servicing is required before this clock will function as it should.
