Luxurious 67 Pc. Tiffany & Co. "Chrysanthemum" (Circa 1880) Sterling Silver Flatware Set. Service for 13 (5-Place settings) set contains 13 dinner forks - 7 5/8", 13 salad forks - 6 5/8", 13 oval soup spoons - 7", 13 tea spoons - 5 3/4", 13 dinner knives (solid silver handles approx. 2 ozt each) - 10 1/4", 1 ladle - 7 1/4", 1 meat fork - 8 1/2". Total approx. weight - 151.22 troy oz. “Chrysanthemum” silver was designed in 1880 by Charles Grosjean. With its flowing curves, swirling vegetation, meandering tendrils, and exotic blossoming flowers, Chrysanthemum is characteristic of The Tiffany Style or Art Nouveau, as the naturalistic style is now commonly known. The rich and graceful flowering motifs of “Chrysanthemum” were undoubtedly influenced by founder Louis Comfort Tiffany. They make “Chrysanthemum” the most sumptuous of any American pattern.
