Description
Autograph note signed by the President and First Lady on engraved White House card. On their first Christmas in the White House, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy wrote a note in blue ballpoint pen to Rex Scouten. The President also signed. The note reads: "For Rex Scouten / with gratitude and appreciation / Jacqueline Kennedy / John Kennedy / Christmas 1961" Mr. Scouton worked at the White House and as a Secret Service Agent during 10 presidencies (Truman to Clinton), including time as Chief Usher of the White House (1969-86) and White House Curator (1986-97). Fine condition. 3.5 x 4.5''.
