GERMAN WESTERWALD STONEWARE STEINS, LOT OF TWO, both having mounted pewter lids, one in baluster form and one with straight sides, both having cobalt-blue and incised decorations. Unmarked. Westerwald, Germany. 18th/first half 19th century. 7" and 9 1/2" HOA.
One with repairs to handle, bent finial on lid, and hairline on rim, and the other with areas of restoration on rim and old repair near rim.
Provenance: From an old Mid-Atlantic private collection.
