Description
A pair of George III silver basting spoons in Old English pattern, each stem with bright-cut engraved borders and monogrammed terminal. Hallmarked John Lambe, London 1788. Length measures 11 1/2 inches (29 cm), weight 5.87 ozt (182.5 grams).
Condition
The spoons appear in fairly good overall condition. There is some general wear and tarnishing in keeping with their age and use. There are many surface marks and scratches and also some pitting marks and nicks to the bowls. However the bowls have generally faired quite well. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
