Hamilton Rare Pacer Wear Test Prototype, Mother-Of-Pearl Dial, Never Marketed
Case: yellow and white gold filled, two body, asymmetric, 45 mm x 32 mm
Dial: mother-of-pearl, applied gold Arabic numerals and arrow markers, gold Dauphine hands
Movement: model 505, electric, adjusted
Band: Hamilton lizard strap and gold filled buckle

Note: In 1961 Hamilton experimented with different materials for dial surfaces. This mother-of-pearl variation is very rare. The dials proved to be to fragile for commercial production and they were never marketed. This lot is from the personal collection of René Rondeau and the watch is shown on page 144 of "The Watch of the Future".
