Verso with memorial panels of willow and coffin. Attributed to the Virginia Record Book artist, Frederick Co., VA. First quarter 19th century. 9" x 7 3/4" OA.

Provenance: Collection of the late John and Lil Palmer, Purcellville, VA.

Catalogue Note: Additional examples of this unidentified artist’s work are represented in the collections of the American Folk Art Museum, New York City; the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Center, Williamsburg, VA; the Henry Ford Museum, Dearborn, MI; and the National Archives, Washington, DC.
