Likely Italian. Rectangular trumeau mirror with gilt wood frame. Trumeau with large rectangular hand painted figural scene at top on canvas depicting an romantic scene with a seated female nude (possibly allegorical) in a wheeled chariot with a Roman Gladiator in gentle embrace in an outdoor setting with a pointed spear on the ground in front with a seated dog at right and a pair of white birds lower left. Unsigned. Accompanied with copy of restoration history from Art Conservation, Drew D. Norbery, Atlanta, Georgia from July 1995. Overall framed 64.25 inches x 27.5 inches. Painting approximately 42 inches x 27 inches.
