King, John Glen; [Nummi Familiarum et Imperatorum] No place stated [London]: No Publisher Listed circa 1787. 101 engraved plates. Hardcover.
Fair. Lacks plate no I, extremities rubbed, binding sprung with several gatherings of plates detached, bookplates and ownership markings; some foxing, marginal soiling to a few plates; overall plates very good.
101 (of 102) engraved plates printed in sepia, lacking plate No. 1. Later half morocco and cloth folio, gilt spine title: "Roman Coins". An extensive series of plates engraved under the inspection and at the expense of the Rev. John Glen King, D.D., published in the imperfect state in which they were found after his death. Undated, circa 1787. John Glen King, was medalist to Catherine the Great. The numismatic plates were intended to illustrate a familiar introduction to Roman Coinage by P. Mercier.
