Killed in the Battle with the Sioux, June 25th. 1876
1876 Print, “CUSTER’S LAST CHARGE,” by Currier & Ives, New York, 15.25” x 11.25”, Very Fine.
Framed to 18.75” x 15”. Handcolored print with blue, gold, green and red tones. Featuring a long-haired Custer on a lone white horse, sword raised, charging over a grassy slope. Subtitle reads: “Brevet Major-General George A. Custer, Lieutenant-Colonel 7th U.S. Cavalry. / Killed in the battle with the Sioux, June 25th. 1876.” Toned page with a few dampstains around the edges. Still a nice example.
