Scarab and Lotus Brooch. Egyptian Revival 18kt yellow gold brooch comprised of multiple lotus flowers, a central carved Lapis Lazulis scarab and further accented by (2) faceted colored gems and a single faceted diamond - multiple Egyptian gold stamps verso. Accompanied by a Museum of Modern Art black enamel decorated brooch depicting the Egyptian crook and flail - stamped, "©MMA 1974"; and a Museum of Modern Art beaded necklace suspending carved stone and gold-tone lotus pendants - stamped, "MMA". From an E 57th ST, NYC estate. Dimensions: brooch measures approx. 1.5" w x 2.125" h.
Condition
Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents. No definitive statement is being made as to whether carved stone is natural, synthetic or treated.
