Large scale and finely detailed example of Webb's painting depicting a ships crew struggling amid a storm off the coast with a paddler beyond and a harbour in the far distance. Webb predominantly painted maritime scenes of Guernsey and the Isle of Man during the late 19th century and his paintings are early historical accounts of these regions as well as coastal life during the period. The location is believed to be off Douglas Harbour. Measurements: 95cm x 60cm framed approx
