Vintage from the 1940s Materials: Black Adrian, 1940 dress, Crepe, Onyx Beads, Glass Beads, Crystal Beads Size: s us women's letter A Very Rare Stunning Piece of Movie History This Amazing Dress is an Adrian Original. Gilbert Adrian worked as a Costume Designer In Hollywood For MGM from1924-1941 Dressing some of the Biggest Stars of Early Hollywood. Including, Greta Garbo, Norma Shearer, Jeanette MacDonald, Jean Harlow, Katherine Hepburn and Joan Crawford. He is Credit with creating Crawford's Iconic 1940's look Featuring Shoulder Pads and Tailored Waist. His Best known Film Work includes George Cukor's The Women and the best yet of Course The Wizard of Oz. for which he designed the Ruby Slippers. He Left MGM in 1941 to start his own Line. This Rare Dress Is Classic Hollywood Delicious Black Crepe with a Dramatic almost side front slit. A diamond shaped Panel that is gathered by the fabric . The Perfect 1940's Details. There is an amazing work of hand Beaded onyx and crystals and glass beads on the bodice to one side. The sleeves are long and tapered with metal zippers. also a Zipper at the back.
