Harold Kraus (Tennessee, b. 1940s) oil on board painting titled "Wading" depicting a woman in a large white hat, holding up the hem of her white late 19th-century style dress, while standing in the ocean and facing away from the viewer, rendered in an impasto technique. Signed "Kraus" lower right. Title with artist's signature and location with date "1988" and additional numeral en verso of board. Housed in a carved wooden frame with light gilt highlights and an off-white linen liner. Sight: 29 1/2" H x 23 1/4" W. Framed: 38 1/4" H x 31 1/4" W.
