Description
Beginning in the 1740's, Capo-Di-Monte became a household name for porcelain products as they began production in Naples, Italy by special request of King Charles III of Bourbon. He wanted a royal porcelain studio on the grounds of the palace and it was called Reggia di Capodimonte. This in particular represents an English couple spending time with one another. A Victorian-style lampshade covers the ceramics. The underside of the ceramic has the Capo-di-Monte makers mark and puts the date range to late 20th to early 21st century (modern day production). This auction includes: (1) Capo-di-Monte English Couple Lampshade Ceramic Figurine The condition of this item is considered to be good with no damage to the piece. No chips, cracks, or blemishes to the outside or inside. The lampshade works and the lampshade has fine dusting from years in storage. Underside has "Made in Italy" written on the bottom.
