Item Details

Description

French 18th century upholstered carved and painted wood marchepied de lit bed steps, two upholstered treads above frame with cabriole legs. 17.5" H x 22" W x 19.5" D. 1st step 8" H. Note: A similar piece attributed to Jean Baptiste Boulard is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Provenance: Property removed from an Upper East Side townhouse.
