Maria, printed in red and black, engraved frontispiece and full-page illustrations, engraved vignettes, title with engraved vignette and illuminated border in gold with decorations of fruits and flowers in many colours, a few other leaves with partial or traces of illumination, some with pencil outlines only, some foxing and browning, in a highly elaborate contemporary Italian binding, stamped in gilt and with red and green morocco onlays forming strap-work patterns, g.e. with flowers painted beneath the surface, upper cover and first few leaves detached, extremities chipped, 8vo (binding 207 x 131mm.), Rome, Appresso Gioacchino, e Gio.
