This fantastic framed enamel plate is from the master enameler Georges Magadoux's (1909-1983) workshop located at the corner of rue Cruche d'Or and the Consulate in Limoges. The inscription on the back declares the art as "original no. 15571."Painter and enameler at the end of the 1930s, Magadoux exhibited at the Salon des artistes dé corateurs from 1942-45-48. He was at the origin of a new dynamic of enamel after the war, opened an art gallery, "Folklore" in Limoges, where he discovered his contemporaries. DIMENSIONS: 8.25" wide, 9.5" high, .5" ORIGIN: Limoges, France CIRCA: 20th Century
