Notes on card from Fieldstone Hall, East Brewster, Mass., Mehitable Crowell Nickerson wife of Ensign Nickerson Jr., grandmother of Samuel M. Nickerson, Born Chatam Mass., Jan. 7, 1765, Died Chatham, Mass. Feb. 26. 1848, Had 10 children, 60 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren at 75 years. Provenance: Christie's New York, American Furniture, Silver and Decorative Arts sale, January 21, 1984, illustrated as lot 102 (possibly deacessioned from The Mansion at Ocean Edge, East Brewster, Mass.). 32" x 26", overall 37 1/2" x 31 1/2".
