A KRAAK PORCELAIN DISH AND OTHER BLUE AND WHITE WARES INCLUDING SHIPWRECK AND PROVINCIAL PORCELAIN
Mainly 17th and 18th centuries
Comprising: a Kraak dish with barbed rim and central panel of a bird on rocks; two provincial oviform jars: a larger provincial 'foliate' saucer dish; a hexagonal-section jarlet; five 'dragon' bowls in two sizes; two 'foliate' bowls; four 'phoenix' saucer dishes and another; seven various stem bowls; three plain tea bowls; six 'fisherman' tea bowls; one miniature 'dragon' stem bowl and a provincial pale green-glazed saucer dish. The Kraak dish: 27cm (10 5/8in) diam. (35).
This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: *
* VAT on imported items at a preferential rate of 5% on Hammer Price and the prevailing rate on Buyer's Premium.
Condition
Kraak dish: minor fritting only.

Two jars: larger neck reduced and bearing small chips, smaller good condition but worn from sea water submersion.

Provincial 'foliate' saucer dish: numerous very fine hairline cracks from rim.

Jarlet: good order.

Five 'dragon' bowls: minor glaze issues and blemishes and some worn from sea water submersion.

Two 'foliate' bowls; good but one worn from sea water submersion.

Saucer dishes, fritting to edges, firing issues and signs of wear from sea water submersion to two.

Seven various 'foliate' stem bowls: all in fair to good order.

Three plain tea bowls: worn from sea water submersion. Two with 'Hatcher Collection' labels.

Six 'fisherman' tea bowls: four with minor chips, wear from sea water submersion. One with 'Hatcher Collection' label.

Miniature 'dragon' stem bowl: wear from sea water submersion

Saucer dish: one hairline and glaze blemishes. Firing rim to well.
