Currier & Ives (1835-1907): Josephine, c. 1865, in original frame. Dimensions: 9 x 13 1/2" paper, 17.5 x 22.5" frame. Currier & Ives were perhaps the most well respected and renowned American printmakers. Describing themselves as, “Publishers of Cheap and Popular Prints”, their firm was able to gain a foothold on the market by producing an ever-changing variety of hand colored lithographs at reasonable costs. Hand colored lithograph on paper

9 x 13 1/2" paper, 17.5 x 22.5"
